Thank you for clicking on this page- while it is "under construction", please CONTACT THE ARTIST for prices of original art as well as giclees.
What are Originals? This is the original work of art, painted directly by the artist onto the watercolor paper or canvas. The original is a one-of-a-kind, and therefore is priced higher as it is more valuable and collectable. Care must be taken to preserve this unique work of art, reducing the effect of sunlight or heat which could destroy the color or the paint surfaces. The painting can also be kept cleaner by framing ( in the case of oils) or matting and framing with glass or plexiglass (as in the case of watercolor.)
What are Giclees? Giclée (pronounced zhee-clay) refers to both a category of collectible fine art, as well as a type of digitally created fine art print. However not every digital print is a Giclée. Only digital prints that are created using special high-resolution printers, archival inks, media and strict printmaking standards can be truly marketed as Giclée prints. Museums throughout the world including the Louvre use Giclée prints to substitute works of art too fragile to be exhibited to the public. Over the past several years the Giclée prints have gained the respect of artists, graphic designers, photographers and of course the public. Giclées can be printed on canvas or on watercolor paper, giving a collector the ability to have something that looks like the original, without the higher price. Multiple Giclees can be made of a single original work.
